A court in the Philippines' city of Cebu has approved on Thursday a warrant permitting the police to examine material taken from the former home of Thomas Markle, father of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

The material is alleged to include images that show child sex abuse. Markle has strongly denied possessing any such material.

BBC's Jonathan Head is in Cebu, reporting from outside the home where Markle last resided, prior to his return to the US earlier this year.
