Donna Mills, the 85-year-old actress best known for starring in the iconic ’80s and ’90s television series Knots Landing, made a surprising career pivot earlier this year when she joined a subscription-based adult content platform.
Within her first month, she reportedly earned multiple six figures through the venture.
In an interview on Friday, October 23, Mills opened up about the requests she receives from subscribers, revealing the one she refuses to entertain.
Some netizens, however, took issue with the veteran actress pursuing this line of work at her age at all, with one commenting, “The world is getting weird.”

Mills sat down with ABC News correspondent Kayna Whitworth for an episode of Nightline this week, where she shared that subscribers often ask her to perform everyday routines.
“I do the Peloton,” she revealed, adding that she is also asked to fix herself a “cup of coffee.”
Another frequent request, according to Mills, is to brush her teeth.
However, that is one thing she refuses to do.
“I’m not going to brush my teeth,” she said.
Mills emphasized that she prefers to embrace subtlety when it comes to her content.
“I think it’s sexier to be not just totally n*ked, you know, and have a little imagination about it,” she expressed, drawing a comparison to her photoshoot for Playboy.
“One of the pictures in Playboy, which I think is one of the s*xiest things, is me in the shower, in a dress.”
Mills said the unpublished photo, along with similar images, would be “the most appealing” to her subscribers.
However, the former actress admitted she was unsure how much she would charge for a throwback image like that, guessing, “Maybe $100.”

Mills spoke with Page Six shortly after joining the subscription-based platform, declaring, “Honey, I’ve been in this business over 50 years.”
Her experience in the industry gave her the confidence to embrace the new venture when she was approached.
Explaining why she decided to join, Mills said she wanted to connect directly with her fans.
“When something new comes along that lets me talk directly to the people who’ve stuck with me since Knots Landing, why wouldn’t I jump in?” she argued.
“My fans are going to see the real me: the good hair days, the bad hair days, and everything in between.”
She also addressed the criticism surrounding her age, noting that people kept asking her, “Why now?”
Her response?
“Why not now? Life’s too short to sit on the sidelines.”
Mills reiterated her commitment to her admirers, crediting them for inspiring her decision to join the platform.
“My fans have given me everything, and this is my way of letting them get a little closer,” she said.
Andy Bachman, CEO of Creators Inc., a fast-growing talent management firm that helps influencers and A-list celebrities navigate, monetize, and structure subscription-based and paywalled content across various platforms, also shared his experience working with the actress.
“Donna called me and said two words: ‘I’m in,’” he recalled. “That’s who she is — no hesitation.”
Mills opened up about the possibility of baring it all in a previous interview
When asked by TMZ in July whether she would go all the way with her adult content, Mills initially appeared reluctant.
“My first answer would be, ‘Oh, no, I won’t do that,’” she said.
“But my second answer is, I don’t know,” she added.
Mills continued, “I don’t want to do anything that’s salacious, you know what I mean? That isn’t my personality. That isn’t what I feel good doing. But if it’s cute and s*xy… we’ll see.”
During an August conversation with Bachman, Mills revealed that she had already entertained an unusual “foot kink” request involving her stomping on grapes.
“I tried to shoot it myself. But you can’t shoot something while you’re stomping, it just doesn’t work,” she playfully divulged.
