TUCSON, AZ (AZFamily) — Six months after “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother vanished from her Catalina Foothills home, the family is releasing a new, heartfelt plea, and they are not giving up.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her Tucson-area home on Jan. 31 and reported missing the following day. Authorities have long maintained they believe she was kidnapped or otherwise taken against her will.

On Saturday, exactly six months later, Savannah Guthrie released a new statement marking the painful milestone on her Instagram.

“This is our beautiful Mom,” the statement begins. “Six months ago, someone took her out of her bed in the dead of night. We have lived every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat in agony and despair ever since.”

The family described the toll the disappearance has taken on all of them.

“Every day, we wake up and try to be strong and go on — because that’s what our joyful and resilient Mom taught us to do,” the statement reads. “But make no mistake — our hearts are in ruins. Cam and Kristine, Annie and Tommy, Mike and me — we spend every waking moment thinking of her, longing for her, looking for her.”

Guthrie also issued a direct appeal to anyone who may have information about what happened.

“We are begging for help. We are desperate. We need someone to come forward,” the statement says. “Someone knows something. Someone suspects something. Someone recognizes the writing in the ransom demand notes.”

The statement urged anyone with knowledge, even those who may be afraid or conflicted, to come forward, noting that tips can be submitted anonymously and that a reward remains available.

“There is a way out — to tell what you know,” the statement reads. “You can do so anonymously. The reward is available. There is a way to end this situation and do the right thing.”

The statement also addressed those following the case online.

“If you are following this story for entertainment or for profit, you are not on her side — you are part of the harm perpetrated against her,” the statement said.

The statement closed with a message of faith and an urgent plea.

“We will never stop looking for answers — and we will never stop looking for the light,” Guthrie wrote. “Please. Bring her home.”

The new statement comes after Guthrie made multiple public appeals on social media in recent months. In an Instagram reel posted Monday, she addressed whoever may be directly responsible.

“It has been months since our mom was taken from us,” Guthrie said. “Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end.”

“I know that you have tried to do things the right way,” she added. “So I’m asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her.”

The Guthrie family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie. The FBI is also offering a $100,000 reward.
